● Pay what you want
ScreenFold reads your MacBook's lid angle sensor. When you fold the screen past your threshold, audio mutes and screen goes dark instantly.
How it works
01
Drop ScreenFold into Applications and launch it. A tiny icon appears in your menu bar — that's it.
02
Set how quickly you want the screen to dim.
03
Tilt the lid down past the threshold and ScreenFold mutes audio and dims the display. Raise it back and everything restores exactly as it was.
Features
Mutes your audio device or pauses any media you are playing when you tilt your screen.
Drops brightness to zero on fold only to restore it when you unfold.
Set the exact fold angle that triggers the action. The built-in hysteresis prevents flapping near the boundary.
Pure Swift, reads the HID angle sensor at 2 Hz. Negligible CPU and memory — you won't notice it's running.
No network access, no telemetry, no account. Reads one sensor, controls two outputs. That's the entire surface area.
Enable once and forget it. ScreenFold starts silently in the background every time you log in.
